Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2025
1. Overview
Scoopr (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use Scoopr’s API testing platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and (if applicable) name and billing details.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use the Service — including pages visited, features used, test runs initiated, and timestamps — to improve the product and troubleshoot issues.
Test inputs. When you submit a URL, API specification, or other target for Scoopr to analyse, we process that data to deliver the Service. This may include request/response payloads, headers, and parameters.
Technical data. We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and referring URL for security and operational purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To process and deliver your API test results.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. account confirmation, billing receipts).
- To detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of the platform.
- To send product updates or announcements (you can opt out at any time).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. AI Processing and Third-Party Providers
Scoopr uses third-party AI models to power endpoint discovery, test generation, and result analysis. When you submit a target for testing, relevant data — such as the URL, API schema, and sample request/response content — may be transmitted to these providers to generate results.
Current AI providers we may use include:
- Anthropic — for AI-powered analysis and test generation. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
We take reasonable steps to minimize the data sent to AI providers, but you should avoid submitting sensitive personal data, production credentials, or private keys through the Service.
AI providers may have their own data-use and retention policies. We encourage you to review their policies before using the Service with sensitive information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Test results and inputs are retained for a period sufficient to display history within your dashboard, after which they may be automatically purged. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain session state. We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@scoopr.dev. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
